TUES, 1 APRIL – 2.30pm @ St James Parish Centre

  • Welcome to Bishop Peter Ramsden (Port Moresby, PNG) who will give a talk and photographic presentation about the many challenges facing the Anglican Church in Papua New Guinea. This is a great way to see and hear about the support of ABM (Anglican Board of Missions) in PNG. Afternoon tea will follow. ALL WELCOME!

WED, 2 APRIL – 10am @ St James

  • Bishop Rob Nolan will celebrate a Requiem Mass to honour the life of Canon Lyn Roberts at this 10am service. Canon Lyn and his wife Rita (dec), upon their retirement to Toowoomba, were long term and faithful worshippers with this parish (esp. at St Thomas'). Canon Lyn's funeral was held last Friday at Burstow's Chapel, Toowoomba. He was loved by many and they are missed. ALL WELCOME!

    Congratulations to Canon Les Turner
    as he celebrates his 60th Anniversary of Priesthood with this 10am service.
    Welcome also to Archbishop Phillip Aspinall
    as our celebrant for this service of thanksgiving for Canon Les.
    Morning tea will follow in the Parish Centre: (Parishioners: please bring a plate of munchies to share). ALL WELCOME!
  • Noon-12.30pm @ St James Parish Centre
    Archbishop Aspinall will speak about the Diocese, with an opportunity for questions. ALL WELCOME!
  • 12.30pm-5pm @ St James Parish Centre
    Parish Council Annual Planning Day follows the Archbishop's address. All Parish Councillors are required to attend.

Christian meditation sessions: commencing soon @ St James - approx. one hour per session. These practical sessions will learn about and explore different forms of Christian meditation. We are looking at offering night and day time sessions. Please leave your name and preferred session on the lists at church or with the Parish Office. Facilitator: Jo Anderson.


Historic Plum Pine @ St James: John Wrench, from All Saints Parish at Chermside, will be collecting some of the fruit from the 100+yr old Plum Pine on the corner of Mort & Russell Streets. He is associated with the group "Bush Foods" and will give a talk about how to use the Plum Pine Fruit to make various foods. Time and date to be advised - stay tuned!
